Kerala Box Office Update (2.12.22)
1. Gold - 2.58 Cr (Day 1 Kerala)
It took a good opening collecting more than 2.5 Cr despite average word of mouth. It became the second highest opening Prithviraj movie behind Kaduva, which also released this year. It easily beat Alphonse Puthren's previous best Premam's numbers on opening day set 7 years ago. It faces a huge task of surviving this word of mouth and putting on decent numbers over the weekend.
GOOD OPENING
2. Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey - 42.84 Cr (35 days)
Gold finally it's top spot but the last week saw it go past collections of Thallumaala and Hridayam in Kerala making it the third highest grossing Malayalam movie in Kerala after Bheeshmaparvam and Jana Gana Mana. It is most likely going to finish under 44 Cr.
Kerala - 27.89 Cr
BLOCKBUSTER
3. Shefeekkinte Santhosham - 0.83 Cr (7 days)
It completely fell off after an already poor weekend and couldn't even muster 1 Cr from the first week.
A big disaster for Unni Mukundan both critically and commercially.
DISASTER
4. Mukundan Unni Associates - 6.95 Cr (21 days)
Although it became a sleeper hit, it slowed down considerably last week as the hopes of hitting 8-10 Cr diminished and it will end up around 7 Cr in the final run.
Kerala - 5.05 Cr
HIT
5. Aanaparambile World Cup - 0.58 Cr (7 days)
Biggest disaster in Antony Varghese's short career. The run has almost ended within a week.
DISASTER
Last week's other releases didn't even put up worthy collections to be on this list.
