Kerala Box Office Update (21.5.23)
1. 2018 - 129.42 Cr (16 days)
It continues its dream run in its third weekend too as it collected more than 2.5 Cr yesterday too taking its Kerala total past 60 Cr and also taking its worldwide total past Lucifer's worldwide total , thus becoming the second highest grossing Malayalam movie ever only behind Pulimurugan. It needs another 16 Cr to go past Pulimurugan and it looks possible as of now and should reach there by the end of next weekend. If it becomes the industry hit, it will be interesting to see how far it will go as multiple biggies are set to hit the box office within next year and this could even lift the bar higher.
Kerala - 60.65 Cr
ALL TIME BLOCKBUSTER
2. Fast X - 1.45 Cr (3 days Kerala)
Despite negative reviews, the huge fan base of the franchise registered another good opening. John Wick Chapter 4 also opened with similar numbers but that movie had highly positive word of mouth. Despite good competition, the film looks solid on Sunday too and would go past Guardians of Galaxy Vol. 3 and other Hollywood movies easily by the end of first week.

3. Neymar - 3.08 Cr (9 days)
Mathew Thomas - Naslen duo again surprises with Neymar at the box office as the movie continues to hold strong against 2018 and by the end of second week, it will reach 4 Cr from Kerala alone. The holiday season gives Mollywood another sleeper hit.
AVERAGE
4. Charles Enterprises - 0.24 Cr (2 days)
It has taken a poor opening as it faces strong competition from all sides as 2018 and Neymar continue to score higher. There's very little hope for it.
POOR OPENING
5. Paachuvum Albhuthavilakkum - 16.05 Cr (23 days)
Fahadh Faasil and the feel good factor of the movie helps it to keep afloat in theatres as it continues to bring decent footfalls and although it hasn't become a clean hit from box office, the movie will be profitable with rights included. In Kerala, the movie has performed really well collecting 11 Cr despite facing a rampaging 2018. The long run has clearly helped the film.
Kerala - 11.10 Cr
FLOP
6. Jackson Bazaar Youth - 0.19 Cr (2 days)
It has not got the start it hoped for especially after Lukman's last fil Sulaikha Manzil punching above its weight. Very little hope for the film with so much competition at box office.
POOR OPENING
7. Ponniyin Selvan 2 - 19.11 Cr (23 days Kerala)
The sequel has clearly underperformed and it is around 5 Cr away from the first part's Kerala total. Poor release strategy along with great competiton from Malayalam movies has dented its box office numbers. Currently it is the highest grossing other language movie in Kerala but its numbers will be definitely challenged by Leo, Jailer, Jawaan and Salaar .
