Kerala Box Office Update (29.12.22)
1. Avatar 2 - 26.52 Cr (13 days Kerala)
It continues the dream run for a Hollywood movie in Kerala as it easily went past 25 Cr mark and marked it's 13th consecutive day with 1 Cr + collection at Kerala box office. Only KGF 2 has more days with 1 Cr+ collections this year than Avatar 2 in Kerala. With the new year weekend coming, it could easily go past 35 Cr and if it continues this run even in first weeks of 2023, even 50 Cr can be achieved.

2. Kaapa - 12.08 Cr (7 days)
The only saviour for Malayalam film industry in the last six weeks has been Kaapa as it is slowly moving towards being a clean hit. It went past 12 Cr worldwide and in Kerala, it has already lapped up more than 8 Cr. Thus with the New Year weekend, it can hope to add another 2-3 Cr atleast to it's kitty.
It can still become third movie of Prithviraj to go past 20 Cr this year. Also it finally gives back to back successes for Asif Ali.

7 years ago Shafi worked his magic at Christmas through his blockbuster Two Countries but time has changed and now his movie can't even get to 1 Cr in first week.

After the pandemic, Biju Menon has selected below par films again and again and thus the audience seems to have deserted his latest release too.
