1. Malikappuram - 15.71 Cr (11 days)
Before two weeks, no one had any hopes on a film starring Unni Mukundan releasing on the last weekend of 2022 but two weeks later, it has emerged as the biggest hit of his career easily surpassing Mallu Singh, which made Unni a star 11 years ago. But ever since that, he has been struggling to get some solo box office success and finally he delivered it in style. Malikappuram another 1 Cr on its second Monday as it continues to fill audiences in theatres in the new year. It looks on course for a 20 Cr+ worldwide total but will face major threat in Kerala with Varisu and Thunivu releasing this week. But the lack of other Malayalam films and the great word of mouth it posesses along with the release of its dubbed versions in other markets may help it. Overall, it has given Unni a great push in his career.

It completed 25 days all over the world as it became the highest grossing Hollywood movie in India beating Avengers: Endgame. In Kerala, it is still going strong but the Pongal releases may diminish its chances of 40 Cr.

3. Ennalum Ente Aliya - 0.79 Cr (4 days)
It showed a big dip on Monday as its fate was finally sealed. Despite showing some growth over the weekend, it never capitalised and could never be a challenge to Avatar 2 or Malikappuram.

Soubin's bad run at box office continues with another film failing to hit 1 Cr and it will be washed out soon.
