Kerala Box Office Update (21.2.24)
1. Premalu - 47.78 Cr (12 days)
Naslen - Mamita Baiju starrer has stunned everyone as even mighty Mammookka's Bramayugam is playing second fiddle to it at Kerala Box Office. It continues to draw in audience in big numbers as even on its second Tuesday, it managed to get around 1.7 Cr from Kerala. 50 Cr will be done once the overseas numbers come in. Even Manjummel Boys won't be able to stop this juggernaut and I am predicting a number similar to Romancham or even better. The strike from FEUOK will also benefit as there won't be any new releases after 22nd, so repeat audience may help the film. Anyways, this film has put Naslen and Mamita into the big league and only time will tell, whether they will live upto that pressure.

2. Bramayugam - 36.65 Cr (6 days)
Everything was perfect until the devilish Potti portrayed by Mammookka faced some youngsters from Hyderabad. The weekdays and Premalu juggernaut has slowed it down post the terrific weekend. It has made the numbers posted by Rorschach and Kaathal look poor as it has rewritten the dynamics of box office for experimental films. Another worry for Bramayugam is its huge budget of around 28 Cr which means the film needs around 55-60 Cr to be theatrically break even. Thus it needs another 20 Cr atleast and with Manjummel Boys arriving and Premalu showing no signs of slowdown, it's not going to be easy.

MOVING TOWARDS HIT
3. Anweshippin Kandethum - 14.71 Cr (12 days)
As predicted by me last week, the double threat of Premalu and Bramayugam has completely destroyed any chances this film had at box office.Except city centres like Kochi and Trivandrum, the film is struggling to get even shows with Prema-yugam firing on all cylinders.The film will end up as a loss.
Kerala - 9.06 Cr
FLOP
4. Thundu - 1.07 Cr (5 days)
With multiple films with extraordinary WOM, anything average is not gonna get any takers and that's what sealed the fate of this film. Biju Menon will have to wait more for a solo hit. Complete washout as it has lesser screens than all the above three films.

5. Siren, Andhakara and Madame Web hardly attract any audience posting dismal numbers at Kerala Box Office.
