Kerala Box Office Update (13.2.24)
1. Premalu - 7.60 Cr (4 days)
Girish AD's romantic comedy has surprised even with its unanimous positive response and stunning box office numbers similar to what Thaneermathan Dinangal did in 2019. After falling behind on day 1, it has completely dominated from there on leaving no chance for Anweshippin Kandethum to take lead. Even on its first Monday, Premalu posted 1.89 Cr from Kerala. It has caused a frenzy among the youth and even Brahmayugam won't be able to dent it's fortune as the target audience seems to be different. The film has got good overseas numbers too, collecting around 13 Cr from the first four days. Only time will tell whether it could become the biggest hit of Girish AD yet.

2. Anweshippin Kandethum - 5.38 Cr (4 days)
Before the release, it faced threat only from Brahmayugam which arrives 6 days from its release but the surprise performance of Premalu has left it facing threat from both sides which has seriously dented it's box office success. Imagine releasing alongside a movie that has created a frenzy in the state. The Tovino starrer really needs to hold strong as Brahmayugam is just two days away and the Monday numbers are not very much encouraging. The film looks to finish first week collecting around 10 Cr worldwide. In Kerala, despite Premalu rush, it has put up decent numbers, crossing 5 Cr.

3. Lal Salaam - 0.50 Cr (4 days Kerala)
Despite having a good release and Thalaivar's cameo, the film has completely tanked at the box office. It also shows the role of Mohanlal in Jailer's box office success in Kerala as Lal Salaam will fail to even hit 1 Cr.

4. Malaikottai Vaaliban - 14.41 Cr (19 days)
Done and dusted, the magnum opus has been rejected by the general audience. Thanks to the hype, it has atleast put a respectable number at the box office. The film is just a few lakhs short of 30 Cr worldwide.

5. Abraham Ozler - 22.86 Cr (33 days)
In the final lap of box office run, Jayaram should thank Mammootty and Midhun Manuel Thomas for this box office run. But only time will tell, if he can make it big solo with his future films. Also, I feel the release of Malaikottai Vaaliban dented it's chance of 50 Cr.
