Romancham still No.1 in Kerala as it nears 50 Cr

Kerala Box Office Verdict (25.2.23)

1. Romancham - 47.37 Cr(22 days)
Despite another set of new releases this weekend, the horror comedy easily maintained its top spot at Kerala box office adding more than 70 lakhs on its fourth Friday and it seems it won't give up the top spot until its online release similar to Malikappuram. It crossed 30 Cr from Kerala and is in touching distance of crossing Kurup's lifetime collection in Kerala. It is a huge boost for the Malayalam industry as a small film nears 50 Cr and it will be the first time after Two Countries (2015) that a comedy entertainer has been accepted by the audience in such large numbers which has given life to the genre which was once the mainstay of Malayalam industry.

The Super Sharanya trio managed to get atleast something on the first day amidst Romancham wave and a huge number of releases. It will have to register great jumps in collections over the weekend to have some chance of success.
