Romancham supremacy continues, Pranaya Vilasam nears 2 Cr

Kerala Box Office Update (5.3.23)

1. Romancham - 58.23 Cr (30 days)
It completed one of the most successful 30 days in the history of Kerala box office reminiscing days of Drishyam and Premam. Even yesterday, it easily maintained the top spot adding another 75 lakhs to its kitty as new releases struggled. It has also gone past 36 Cr from Kerala and is all set to continue its dominance until Thuramukham arrives next week. 60 Cr looks a cakewalk and it has set a high benchmark for this year's Malayalam biggies to achieve in Kerala and overseas markets.
Kerala - 36.08 Cr

2. Pranaya Vilasam - 1.90 Cr (9 days)
The good to above average word of mouth has helped it amidst a huge flow of releases as it maintained a good hold on screens and shows in its second weekend. The film will cross 2 Cr from Kerala today and if it holds on for one more weekend, it can become a sleeper hit. The low budget of the film will need only one more week of good returns to get into profit zone.
BELOW  AVERAGE

3. Pakalum Paathiraavum - 0.37 Cr (2 days)
The Kunchako Boban - Rajisha Vijayan thriller has not taken a favourable start, registering even a fall on its second day after a poor day 1. The fate of the film seems to have been sealed with Romancham and Pranaya Vilasam scoring better than it.
POOR OPENING

4. Lovefully Yours Veda - 0.07 Cr (2 days)
Another release for Rajisha Vijayan and the same result as it has clearly not generated any interest from the audience.
POOR OPENING

5. Santhosham, Ntikkakkoru Premondarnn and Oh My Darling have been reduced to a handful of shows with minimial collections in their second week of run.

6. Pathaan and Avatar 2 still continue to pull in decent footfalls on weekends in limited screens.
