Below Average Start for the Easter releases, Pookkaalam leads

Kerala Box Office Update (10.4.23)

1. Pookkaalam - 0.61 Cr (2 days)
After a low day 1, it showed good growth on Easter day as the good word of mouth spread and is all set to cash in on the festive weekend. Most probably, it will be the first choice for the family audience this Vishu and Vineeth Sreenivasan and Basil Joseph could pull off another hit at the box office. If it can get decent numbers on weekdays, it can hope to cross 3 Cr till Vishu.

2. Enthada Saji - 0.56 Cr (2 days)
It opened with similar numbers as Pookkaalam but on day 2 couldn't register similar growth as the other. The two day weekend number and the poor word of mouth are alarming signs as there is a huge chance of it slipping down the ranks over the weekdays and rest of the festive season. Post Nna Thaan Case Kodu, this is the third Kunchako Boban film that has failed to take a good start and time will tell whether it will have the same fate of the other two films.

3. Corona Papers - 0.96 Cr (4 days)
Despite having a 2 day advantage over the other releases, it has not got going at the box office and ever since the new releases came in, the numbers have gone low and it will be tough to get into profits with more releases coming next weekend. Priyadarashan would have to wait more for a clean hit at the Kerala box office.

4. John Wick Chapter 4 - 4.72 Cr (17 days Kerala)
It drew in some decent numbers over the Easter weekend. Although 5 Cr may look distant but it can achieve that with a long run despite having limited number of screens.
HIT

5. Viduthalai Part 1 - 1.07 Cr (10 days Kerala)
For a film of its genre, crossing 1 Cr is a great achievement in Kerala. Everything from here will be an added bonus and maybe it will pave the way for part 2 to have better prospects at the box office.
FLOP

6. Romancham - 69.46 Cr (66 days)
Even after its OTT release , it continued in limited multiplex screens in its 10th week as it continues to add to its kitty. It may end up a little short of 70 Cr by the end of run.
Kerala - 42.11 Cr
