Kerala Box Office Update (27.4.23)
1. Sulaikha Manzil - 1.63 Cr (6 days)
In an interesting turn of events post Eid weekend, Sulaikha Manzil has taken the top spot and is continuing to perform above expectations in an otherwise disastrous festive season. The movie has overtaken its star studded counterparts as it is looking to post a decent 1.5 Cr first week from Kerala. The good word of mouth may help it maintain a good number of screens in second week despite PS-2 and Pachu . Any finish close to 3 Cr from here will be a big win for this small film. Also a good boost for Lukman as a star after Operation Java and Thallumaala in previous years.

2. Neelavelicham - 2.80 Cr (7 days)
An early start has helped the movie in both Kerala and GCC to pack a bigger number than other releases but it is heading towards a disaster. It wont get anywhere near its huge budget. It has gone past 2 Cr in 7 days in Kerala and will most likely be washed out in second week with biggies arriving. Tovino's mixed run at box office continues as he follows his biggest hit with a disaster.

3. Madanolsavam - 4.27 Cr (13 days)
The real dark horse or winner of this festive season is the Suraj Venjaramoodu starrer and as other movies struggle to get past 1 Cr at the box office, it is nearing 4 Cr from Kerala alone and despite big releases , it will maintain a decent number of screens in its third week. If it can pull off another good weekend, then it will move into clear profits.

4. Ayalvaashi - 1.08 Cr (6 days)
Despite having a good cast and getting good reviews and having a good hype, the film couldn't take off at the box office and provides Soubin with another disaster post Romancham. Having other films of the same genre as competition worked against it.

5. Kadina Kadoramee Andakadaham - 0.75 Cr (6 days)
Enkilum Chandrike, Pookkaalam and now this movie has clearly dented the image of Basil Joseph as a bankable actor. Post Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey, Basil is following the way of Soubin with a huge number of average releases which neither have good content nor the power to pull great numbers at box office,
It is also the only big release that has failed to cross 1 Cr at Kerala box office this Eid.
